Our prenatal programs prepare you for childbirth, breastfeeding and the early weeks of parenting while our postpartum programming helps supports healthy family relationships and include activities for parents and babies to enjoy together.

This four-week series of prenatal classes is held on a quarterly basis to help expecting parents prepare for childbirth, breastfeeding and the early days and weeks of parenthood.

  • Week one: Childbirth preparation and strategies for relaxation and comfort

  • Week two: The medical side of childbirth; strategies for relaxation and comfort; postpartum recovery

  • Week three: Preparation for breastfeeding and emotional wellness for families

  • Week four: Newborn care and the transition to parenthood


BRINGING BABY HOME

For expectant couples and couples with children 0-18 months

This series of classes is ideal for expectant couples and couples with children 0-18 months. Babies not yet crawling are welcome to attend with their parents. Partners should attend together.

Big changes happen when children come along! Learning how to stay connected as a couple and finding healthy ways to solve problems are important to happy and healthy relationships that last. Take some time out to connect with your partner and practice skills that you can use for a lifetime. Based on the work of Dr. John and Julie Gottman.

Moms Matter is a drop-in support group for expectant and new moms, giving them a safe and encouraging space to learn strategies to help through the ups and downs of motherhood.

Expectant parents in Wood Buffalo come together to learn how to stay healthy during pregnancy, childbirth and baby’s first year. The day will be filled with local presenters, vendors and community partners  and a prenatal yoga class. A light lunch will be provided.
