Being a great parent starts even before your baby is born! Our early parenting programs set you up for success with practical tools and resources that create the foundation for strong family relationships and your child’s healthy development.

PARENT AND BABY CLASSES

You and your baby can share fun and memorable moments together in our parent and baby classes. Topics rotate throughout the year and may include infant massage, baby sign language, rhymes and songs, sensory and messy play, parent and baby yoga and much more!

BRINGING BABY HOME

4-week evening series

For expectant couples and couples with children 0-18 months

Big changes happen when children come along! Learning how to stay connected as a couple and finding healthy ways to solve problems are important to happy and healthy relationships that last. Take some time out to connect with your partner and practice skills that you can use for a lifetime. Based on the work of Dr. John and Julie Gottman.

Week 1: Staying connected with your partner

Week 2: Building an emotional bank account

Week 3: The four steps of constructive problem solving

Week 4: The importance of fathers; Creating shared meaning  


MOMS MATTER

Tuesdays 1:00-2:00 pm

For mothers and babies 0-12 months.

Moms Matter is a support group for new moms, providing a safe and encouraging space to learn strategies to help through the ups and downs of motherhood. Each week provides the opportunity to connect with other moms, share your own highs and lows and learn more about wellness and parenting in the first year.

Offered in collaboration with Alberta Health Services.
